Not only handsome, but also the most successful and most equipped and the most flexible ship among light frigates (3000 ton) is the I-class frigate.

Turkey is a green water navy and will stay a green water navy at least for another 10-15 years. At least 1 carrier and destroyers are needed to become a blue water navy. Turks are building a 8000 tons, 96 launcher destroyer right now, probably with indigenous vls, couldn't find a proper source. Edit: Just checked, they are 11th in the world with just over 300k tons of displacement. Zero carriers. 1 carrier adds 60-100k tons singlehandedly. So, 300k tons without carriers means quite a lot of ships. They have modern ships and submarines, older ones are either upgraded or being upgraded (indigenously). If they keep this up, they might become 7th or 8th largest navy in tonnage by 2035. Just my prediction, no science behind it.

HOW on Earth are we Canadians (or current Communist Canackastani's) supposed to defend our arctic with these???? Unless there are secret weapons on board that the public has no clue of.. How a 30mm autocannon, and two .50 cal heavy machine guns?? WHAT?? There are NO eastern African pirates up there! Good lord! No wonder the G7 and our NATO allies laugh at us!!

An excellent design of a brown water frigate. Turkiye has proven to be industrious and adaptable in it's growing military industrial complex. It is good that they become more self reliant as a nation of her size, importance and history should be.

Where is the 'courtesy' French flag? Where is the Canadian naval flag? (Not on the stern). Six if these Arctic Patrol Vessels for a cost of C$5 billion? A joke, where the taxpayer gets fleeced once again. Never mind going into the litany of problems currently facing these vessels.

It's a different sort of ship from what the Europeans are used to seeing (except in Sandinavia). It is super modern and high tech inside. I've been on her sister. Quite impressive what ultra-modern warships are like.
